We are excited to announce that the recipient of our third Tamworth/Nashville Sister Cities Exchange Program is US emerging artist, @iamgrenon 🙌🏼
The Nashville Exchange Program was established through a partnership between @scnashville @tamworthregionalcouncil and The Academy, with support from @visitmusiccity in the US, and @soundnsw and @matonguitars in Australia. Grenon follows in the footsteps of @a.ham.sandwich
(2024) and @samhatmaker (2025), continuing the strong creative link between the two country music capitals, and will join 29 other students from across Australia and New Zealand for our 12-day intensive educational senior program.
“Every year, The Academy brings together people united by their love of country music,” said Academy Director, @lynbowtell
“Grenon’s participation adds another exciting layer to that mix. These cultural exchanges remind us that music has no borders; it’s a shared language that brings people together.”
Academy General Manager, @rogercorbett1 said the ongoing Nashville partnership continued to enrich The Academy experience for both Australian and international students.
“We’ve seen firsthand how powerful this exchange can be,” he said. “Grenon will be immersed in the Australian country music community, learning alongside artists from across our regions while also sharing Nashville’s energy and perspective. It’s a genuine two-way learning experience that benefits everyone involved.”
